Scientific partners and sponsors wanted for ALTITUDE Project

Last month the ALTITUDE Project completed all altitude and sea level training camps, and the scientific staff started data processing and analysis. 65 swimmers participated, more than 700 physiological and biomechanical tests were performed, and about 5000 individual training sessions were monitored along the study. The project received funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain (R+D+I National Plan), the Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD), and the Governement of Catalonia. We also received donations on partnership basis from the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF). However, due to the large number of swimmers and staff involved, and the complex logistics there is need of additional funding to cover all expenses. Furthermore, the amount of scientific data collected allows for extensive analysis, interpretation and publications of results. Scientific and sports organisations -as well as qualified investigators- interested in scientific partnership and sponshorship are invited to contact us for more information (thealtitudeproject@gmail.com).
