The 3rd International Altitude/Hypoxia Training Symposium, organized by the Sport Science Research Center of the Beijing Sports University is being held in Beijing (May 5-11). Six international experts in the field have been invited to give half-day lectures to an audience of Chinese elite coaches and sports scientists and graduate students. The lecturers are Dr. Eileen Robertson (Australian Institute of Sports, South Australian Sports Institute), Prof. Walter Schmidt (University of Bayreuth), Prof. Hugh Montgomery (University College of London), Prof. Robert Chapman (Indiana University, US Track and Field), Dr. Stephen Muza (US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine), Dr. Vincent Pialoux (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1), Prof. Yang Hu (Beijing Sport University), and Prof. Ferran A. Rodríguez (INEFC-Barcelona Sports Science Research Group). Prof. Rodríguez, SSRG coordinator, has also been invited to visit the Chinese Institute of Sports Science to discuss the establishment of future research collaborations, starting with participation of Chinese athletes, coaches and scientists at the ALTITUDE Project.
El 3rd International Altitude/Hypoxia Training Symposium està tenint lloc a Beijing, del 5 a l’11 de maig. Sis experts internationals han estat convidats a impartir sis ponències de mitja jornada a una audiència d’entrenadors d’elite, científics de l’esport i postgraduats xinesos. Els conferenciants són la Dra. Eileen Robertson (Australian Institute of Sports, South Australian Sports Institute), el Prof. Walter Schmidt (University of Bayreuth), el Prof. Hugh Montgomery (University College of London), el Prof. Robert Chapman (Indiana University, US Track and Field), el Dr. Stephen Muza (US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine), el Dr. Vincent Pialoux (Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1), el Prof. Yang Hu (Beijing Sport University) i el Prof. Ferran A. Rodríguez (INEFC Barcelona, Grup de Recerca en Ciències de l’Esport). El Prof. Rodríguez, coordinador del GRCE, ha estat també convidat a visitar el Chinese Institute of Sports Science per discutir l’establiment de colaboracions futures en temes de recerca, especialment relacionats amb l’ALTITUDE Project.
