Anna Barrero Franquet, triathlete of CN Reus Ploms placed 9th in the elite category and was silver in the G25-29 age category in the Spanish Winter Triathlon Championship. The race was a 10-km run in a circuit in Jaca (Huesca, the Pirenees), a 35-km mountain port climb to Candanchú, and a 10-km cross-country ski circuit at the port. The day was windy and chilly, and the skiing segment took place under the snow. After a very busy Fall taking part in the Altitude Project as junior researcher, with consequent limited training, Anna was able to perform at a surprisingly good level. After her victory at the same age group and women’s team category in 2011, she confirmes being one of the best winter triathletes in our country. Congrats Anna!
