The Society of Altitude and Hypoxic Training of Japan, to our knowledge the World’s oldest society focused on altitude training, successfully organized the 20th International Symposium on Altitude Training in Tomi City, Nagano.
National and international keynotye speakers experts were invited to lecture in the meeting, including: Robert Chapman (Indiana University, Bloomington) Kazonobu Okazaki (Osaka City University, Japan), Futoshi Ogita (National Institute of Fitness and Sports, Kanoya), Mizuki Noguchi (Olympic champion in the Athens 2004 marathon) and Ferran A. Rodríguez (INEFC Catalunya, Universitat de Barcelona).
The lecture presented by Ferran A. Rodríguez was “Altitude training for enhancing sea-level performance in elite swimmers”. Congratulations to professor Masaaki Sugita, President of The Society of Altitude and Hypoxic Training of Japan, and his wonderful team.
