The China Institute of Sport Science (CISS), one of the World’s largest sports science public institutions, successfully organized the “Forum on Science in Swimming: Preparing for the Olympic Games” in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Five international experts were invited to lecture in the meeting: Xiaoping Chen (CISS), Jason Dierking (University of Louisville), Bruce Mason (Swimming Australia), Chris Brammer (Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming), Dudley Duncan (Quest Swimming), and Ferran A. Rodríguez (INEF Catalonia, UB).
The lectures presented by Ferran A. Rodríguez were:
“Altitude training for Olympic swimmers: facts and fancy” and
“Energy metabolism-based diagnosis and training in normal and altitude environment: applications in World-class swimming athletes”
